Salmonfishing is now closed. Welcome back in 2023.
Salmon fishing in Gaula is available from 6/7 – 14/9.
The Gaula is a river located in the Sunnfjord region of Vestland county, Norway. The 63-kilometre (39 mi) long river is the central part of the Gaularvassdraget.

We have several good fishing spots in our part. Some parts of the river is excellent for fly fishing, while other parts are better suited for lure. We have set a maximum of six rods, so here you can group together more people and share your fishing.
If you want a roof over your head at night or between fishing, a small fishing hut can be rented. It is of the more primitive sort, but with electricity and cooking possibilities, it meets its basic needs. It can room up to four people.
The Gaula River is also an excellent trout river. The trout fishing is not available after the salmon has arrived (around june-july), except if you pay for salmon fishing. It is forbidden to fish trout and salmon after 14. September.
